Welcome to The Write Impression, my name is Lesley Halliday and I first discovered calligraphy in primary school, when I was taught by my favourite teacher Mrs Roberts to write in italics. I then asked for a Calligraphy set for Christmas and using the book that was supplied with the Calligraphy set I have taught myself other styles of writing including gothic and copperplate.

When I went to Leftwich High School, my art teacher said I had better writing than him and I was asked by the school to write the Presentation evening certificates 2 years running. I have also attended a one day course on Calligraphy at Sir John Deans College to help refine my technique.

For me the Write Impression is a side line and a chance to continue to do something I love.  Over the last 10-15 years I have written Wedding Invitations, Wedding Table Cards, Wedding Table Plans, Family Tree's, completed Certificates, completed wedding information in the front of wedding albums and other bespoke creations.

I am creative and also make cards and jewellery.  I made my own wedding invitations and Thank You Cards and recently I made wedding jewellery for a friend and her bridesmaids, including necklace, earings and tiara.
